Robert Stammerjohan

Ron graduated years before I became Dean at Pacific (75-79); but I became acquainted with him in the 90s when we both worked for the Turlock School District. He had already been a very successful teacher & basketball coach at Riverbank HS before coming to Turlock HS. He was a class act and was highly respected in both communities as a teacher, coach and person.

I was informed by Fred Grove last night about Ron's passing. Ron was a very well respected educator and coach in The Modesto, Turlock and Riverbank areas where we were both neighbors and coached at different high schools. Ron had a great sense of humor and if you wanted to get him fired up Fred Grove and Benny Ramos, also neighbors,  those two could do it. You will be missed old chum.  Harry Gualco

The important things in Ron's life were his faith and family. My family and his shared many memorable  times together and he was totally like a brother. He was instrumental  in building  a new High School gym at Riverbank High and starting a church in Riverbank. He loved to play golf and he hosted a golf retreat  at his cabin in Murphes at the end of the  school year for his fellow coaches and teachers. As it has already  been mentioned  he has left quite  a legacy

My 8th great grandchild was born recently, and I still have 3 grandchildren that are still single, I am truly blessed with so much love and a healthy family. This will explain why I am not on here very much, they do keep me busy.

I hope everyone is doing well and taking care of yourselves.

Hey Ralphie, thanks for the wake up call! Sometimes when we get old, you have to kind of shake us a little bit. L O L .....I updated my profile this year, but just haven't posted on the page. I am blessed to have happy and healthy family, though I am still grieving the loss of my husband from seven months ago. I am so lucky to have the incredible support of so many friends and my family to help me through this time. Wishing a happy new year to all my fellow Vikings.

Debby Brill (Scanlan) (1970)

My brother, Dan Brill (class of 1973) passed away on Jan. 7, 2023 of Frontal Temporal Degeneration (FTD).
FTD is a fairly rare type of dementia that strikes people in their younger years. He was diagnosed  in 2017, shortly after moving to Colorado with his wife, Gloria, to be near their two sons.

Dan was a California Highway Patrolman for 30 years, retiring from the Auburn office.  He was an assist to his community who started a Food Bank at his church, helped troubled youths through the  Casa program and many other volunteer activities.

Dan was a great man and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
