Marshall was a great friend, but I lost touch with him after high school. There are many times that I called upon Marsh to help me fix my car - he was very talented in that regard and was always willing to bail me out. How many friends like that do we find in our lifetimes?

We spent many hours walking the streets of Bayfair during our pre-driving years, talking about life - politics, music, girls and sports; throwing around the football. Looking back, of course, I see the innocent value of this time and value it greatly. Thanks Marsh for your friendship.

I always will smile when I remember Marshall. He could always make me laugh and a friend from Garfield. I would see him off and on through the years in the Mulford Gardens area. I am sad to know he's gone. I will miss him.

Marshall was a good friend. He and I were the same age, but were one month apart, he was the younger. Marshall and I would go to the Manor Health Studio to work out for Football. Even though he was one month younger than me, he could grow a beard over the summer, so he would not get carded when he bought drinks. Those were great days. I sure do miss those days, and I really miss Marshall. I'm sorry that we had our own lifes, and had not kept in touch.

As I scroll down and see people I knew as a young kid. I pause to remember what they inspired in me. Marshall Lubker was the first PACIFIC HIGH VIKING football player I ever knew at the age of 8. The Lubker Family I knew well, spending Christmas’ with them. I remember Noel getting her blue 69 Camaro, Liz being the prettiest girl I’d every seen, and Marshal, a big Brother to me.   Sorry to see a VIKING GO.

I am missing you, brother Marsh.  We always had such a good time up at the mountains and I miss your acerbic wit.  I am sorry that you never had the chance to experience family life or the delight of raising children.  You would have been a great dad as you always related well to kids and had the excellent core values of the Lubker/Gilmore family.  I especially miss our political discussions and could sure use some backup in my debates with the libs of Willy's family.  Funny how you knew Willy growing up but never realized that he and I would be married someday.....oh, the ironies of life.  Love ya...and see you in the afterlife.  Noel
