It was years after I found out that Dennis died from injuries he sustained in Vietnam, but what amazed me the most is that I found out later that he was in a sister brigade in Vietnam, and we probably came close to passing during the end of my tour there. It is amazing how big the world is, and yet how close we are at times. He was a great person that I found easy to call a friend.

I still think about Dennis as travel through Saint Lois on a regular bases. This was his hometown, and where he moved back to before entering the Army. His name is enscribed on the monument dedicated to the veterans in downtown Saint Lois.
