It is a very Sad Day to learn that we lost Carrol.  I also remember him from Grover Cleaveland and being in Scouts with him.  He will be missed.

I remember Carroll only from pacific he was a great guy. Type of person that would give you the shirt off his back. I had him in a few of my classes. Quiet sort of guy but friendly and a go getter. Sorry to hear that hes passed. RIP Carrol we'll all miss you.

Carrol was a great guy.  I knew him from our wrestling team.  He was on the team for all three of our years at Pacific.  One of his matches, that he won against an opponent at Encinal High, was the one match that, to this day, still stands out in my mind over any other match that I watched in my three years on the team.  His opponent had placed at the state the year before and Carrol had lost additional weight to wrestle against him. No one gave Carrol much of a chance and he was loosing by a large margin until the last round.  Carrol pinned the young man with seconds left on the clock.

Carol was one of those people I have intended to get in contact with over these years and never did.  If there is someone you have had on that short list for all of these years..........get it done, don't wait until it is to late. Track him or her down now while you still can!

I grew up with Shaw's, my family and his have been close since the time we were two years old.  When one or the other would move, we'd all move.  I was notified of his passing by his sister, Shirley.  I last saw Carroll Ray in 2013 after traveling to California to see friends and family.  We ( Carroll, his sister Shirley, my oldest daughter - Jodie and myself) had gotten together for a 4 hour dinner, did alot of catching up and hugs to follow.  I have many, many memories of us growing up, where they were, we were.  Our families did alot of camping together, among other things.   I blacked his eye once, he was agravating me and I turned to kick him, like kids do, and he bent down and I caught his eye!  I don't know how many of you knew that Carroll was a Skydiver and also taught  Skydiving.  He was seriously hurt years ago when a student plunged into his parachutte and they both plumented 400 feet to the ground, he broke just about everthing in him, took him almost two years to recoup and what does he do?  He went back to Skydiving, told him he was crazy.  We were all taken back to hear that he had past away.  I think of him and his family often and miss them often!
