I went to San Jose State College and graduated in '72 w/ degree in Home Ec./minor Sociology, went to San Francisco State and got a teaching credential. Taught 1 year at Pacific H.S. and 1 year at San Leandro H.S. and then moved to Roseville, taught adult education part time until prop. 13 in 1973, had 2 children and in 1988 started a new career in pharmaceutical sales w/ Merck & Co., for 12 yrs. and took a medical leave in 2000. I married Chuck in 1997. I've lived in my home in Roseville for 39 years. My children walked to elementary and junior high which is at the end of my street. They drove less than 1 mile to the H.S. They both have college degrees, own homes, and also reside in Roseville. Christina was the Target store manager in Folsom but didn't have time for a life and just quit to become manager of AAA 2 blocks from my home. Nicole is an outside sales rep. and trainer like I for Hologic. Their father, Jules, worked in a factory in quality control for 20 years and changed careers and became lead ITT for Placer County 2 years prior to his death. He got out of his car to go to work and collapsed and died on the spot and was unable to be revived. Posthumously he was awarded most valuable employee. Chuck sold specialty shoes in Sacramento for 40 years and I make quilts as a serious hobby. I have a Gammill Optima quilt machine w/ Statler on a l2 ft. steel table in our family room. I now do longarm quilting as a business from my home. I make quilts for family and friends and community service projects. I belong and particpate in 2 quilt guilds. My mother resides in at Eskaton FountainWood Lodge in Orangevale. My brother, Terry, lives in Roseville in my mom's house at Sun City, Roseville. I have seen Roseville grow from 13,000 when I moved here in 1975 to over 123,000 currently. I live with 2 cocker spaniel rescues. Colleen Greathead Voet lives on the other side of Roseville (west side) and we share our enthusiasm for quilting together in many activities.
