I lived in Mulford Gardens just a few blocks away from Doug and his brothers. Back ikn the 5th and 6th grades we played in the streets and in the tidal areas.
Doug introduced me to the old Filmore Auditorium in our senior year (after that I never got enough of the place).
Doug and Mark Tunison (also in the neighborhood) were on the Vikings swim team, With their support, in my senior year, I decided to take; a chance with the team. I bet I was the only senior to be on the jr varisty team.
I had my struggles in school but I tell you my friendships with the Wilson boys meant a lot to me.
I was sorry to see that Ron passed on, He introducted me to the Rolling Stones by playing a 45 on a portable record player - the speaker was so bad I couldn't understand a thing ·· LOL·· but I got the jist of it!
