San Leandro and Pacific and those who went with me were a huge part of my life. A lot happened to me while I was there. My father died and the stuggles attached to that were huge. Life was much simpler then, or so it seemed. San Leandro was a way of life, that I have never experienced since. We were lucky to be born when we were.

School Story:

I remember cruising the strip with my best friend Elizabeth from San Lorenzo High. We were driving along, not paying any attention, as usual and the car in front of us stopped. Well, of course, we crashed into them. I was terrified, but my girlfriend who was a year older and tougher than I said, "get out and put your hands on your hips in a threatening way". So we both did this and it scared the other girls into jumping back into thier cars and leaving! We laughed all the way home but my knees were still shaking!
