Dick, we all have horror stories. A very good friend once told me the only sin is not learning from your experience. You would probably have told me to stay away from him. Dangerous radical priest. But loving and loyal to his friends. Yes the oo'd. At one time i had a very codependent friendship with you. It helped me discover Thomas Merton. And today you show me what iwould be like if i obeyed all the rules. You meekly complied with the draft. When the majority of your classmates became c.o.'s. When i was in my early 20's i was for a long time in my own selfpity. As it appears you are. Mine was exposed to me by a Saint. There is much i could feel sorry for right now.
