Eric and I connected a few years back at the Oakland Ice Center. I recruited him to my ice hockey team and we had a couple of great years playing together.
We had the chance to chat about the old days at PHS and time wasted on 'the strip', going 'ice blocking' and messing around with the 'letter' on the hill.
He often asked about everyone, and had fond memories and things to say about our class.
I last spoke to him about 2 weeks before his final move to Bali.
I will miss him and his 'kung fu' energy!

ps. we had great chemistry on the ice!!!

Eric was a true friend of mine. Eric and I stayed in touch since we graduated. My wife and I had a going away party for Eric , his wife Tamara, sons Ryan and Scotty before they moved to Bali. Eric and I had been friends since we were 5 years old. My two sons loved hearing stories from him about when we grew up, there eyes would light up. He was a guy that at any time I could pick up the phone or drop by his house or he mine, and we would pick up from where we left off whether it was a week or a year apart .............I truly miss Eric

Wow! When I think of Eric, there are only good thoughts and always smiles. I think we first met when we were about 4 years old. We lived in the same neighborhood, went to the same church, and were somehow always in the same class together during elementary schools (yes, plural!), even CCD classes! lol, and had many of the same classes at John Muir and Pacific. We still kept in touch after high school, going to Chabot together, and sometimes different churches. We even showed up at the same parties. At Garfield, everyone always paired us up at school dances... hmmm, I guess because we were both the shortest! I didn't mind, though! I last saw Eric when I invited him to a New Year's Eve Party at Laura Alvarez's house in San Leandro. I think of him often and ever forget that when you looked at him, he always looked at you deeply, and never took anything for granted.
