Very sad to hear Kris has passed away. She was a great support for me during my year as Exchange Student at Pacific High.

I spent the school year 1971/72 with my "brother" Stu as a Danish foreign exchange student living with the Wenkheimer family. I have fond memories of him begging his mother for a dollar for gas so we could cruise the strip in the Woody Saturday evenings. We went double dating for drive-in movies, hunting rattlesnakes in the foothills with a couple of 20 gauge shotguns and hunting stray cats late evenings with his two dogs Jet and Chino. So many memories - I can't believe he is gone. Fortunately, I got to visit several times, latest in 2007 with my whole family. I am happy to stay in touch with his children - that keeps the memories alive.
