I wanted to give a little information about my brother since some info is missing on his page.
My brother James P Abina Jr was born June 21, 1951, he is the only son of Rose & James Abina Sr. He grew up in San Leandro, CA and lived in Tracy of his passing. My brother was married twice and has 3 children Jarred Abina (from first marriage), Megan Marie Abina Guesnon, and Jason Abina (from 2nd marriage). He served in the Army, and once he came home he became a very good mechanic, he received many awards for his profession. In August of 2011, a month after our mothers passing, James was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. He went through all his chemo treatments and by October of 2012 Drs told James that the chemo was no longer working and they gave him 3 months. January 3, 2013 my brother passed away at home surrounded with his children and his sibblings. He is missed and thought of each and everyday that passes, my world crumbled with his passing.
Fond memories growing up with you and James. I still remember your house next to Thrasher park. I am sure he is looking down on you and watching over you. May the memories you have help soften the ache in your heart.
