Married in 1968 (John Morgan) - Divorced in 1990; remarried in 1991 (Chuck Marshall); Met my first husband (a Navy guy) in 1966 at Treasure Island where I worked in a temp clerical position. Moved to Littleton, CO with my family while John served in Viet Nam. Married John and moved to Sacramento in 1968, and have lived here ever since. After a few years in private industry and starting our family, I started with the Army Corps of Engineers in 1974. I worked for the Federal Government in the Procurement and Contracting departments for almost 28 years, including the Corps for 9 years; Sacramento Army Depot for nearly 9 years; 18 months at the Sharpe Depot with DLA, again with the Corps in Sacramento for 8 years, then my last 11 months at Sharpe Depot with DCMA. I also worked for 4 years (1994 - 1998) with Montgomery Watson and with Oracle Corporation from 1998 - 2000. All in Contractng positions. Physical Education was my favorite subject in school. I had hopes of going to college and becoming a PE teacher, but my Dad had his first heart attack the year I graduated, so I started working to help out the family, and never got back to college except for 4 or 5 classes I took over the years. My formal training in Government Contracting was OJT! I retired from my position with the Department of Defense, Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) in February 2008.

I played slowpitch softball for over 25 years in Sacramento. Gave it up at age 50 when I realized I was running in slow motion! But my team won the championship in its division that year, so I left a winner. Took up golf shortly after my divorce in 1990.

My husband, Chuck and I love to fish, and bought our first RV in 2011. We just started playing golf again, and are looking forward to some good rounds during our travels! I also love spending time with my daughters and their families. They live in Lafayette (Carrie), and Vacaville (Cheryl), so they are close enough to visit often.

My daughters and their families are the light of my life, and I look forward to many retirement years to spend with them.

My husband retired from the Department of Energy on July 30, 2010, after 30 years of service with the Federal government. We recently purchased a 36 foot RV, and hope we'll do some traveling soon.

May 14, 2014 was a life-changing day for me, as I was diagnosed with breast cancer. The next year will be a little speed bump in our efforts to realize our dream of travel and leisure, but we are confident everything will work out.

Even though I was pretty shy and blended in at school, I do remember many of my classmates, and enjoy reading their profiles.

School Story:

I was pretty shy and a relative unknown at school, but thanks to my second cousin Jerry Kreutzer, and a few of his friends, I had some fun, memorable times during that period of my life. I was the oldest of 7 children, so I didn't participate in many outside activies, nor did I have an after school job - except to help with my brothers and sisters after school. My job was to babysit so my mom and dad could work.

I really looked forward to, and enjoyed seeing the school plays each year. My favorite one was Bye Bye Birdie. I can now admit that I was very envious of the kids who had the guts (and talent) to get up there and perform.

My least favorite memory was the day of the 1965 Senior Prom. We were playing softball in girls PE, and I accidently tripped and fell into the first baseman after hitting the ball, and broke her leg! I felt so bad, and I hope she has forgiven me for that. Her name was Karen Templeton if my memory serves me correctly. Karen, if you see this, just know that I've never forgotten that awful day!

I was a member of the girls basketball team during my senior year, and really enjoyed being part of that.

All in all, I really enjoyed my time at Pacific High School.

I'd love to hear from anyone who may remember me and is interested in catching up.

Jerry and I were cousins and rode to school together every day. He was a very loving family man, loyal friend and talented musician.  I love that he found a lifetime of happiness with his high school sweetheart, Toni.  I remember spending a lot of time with his family, and enjoyed going with him and his band to entertain at the military bases in the Bay Area. My heart goes out to his family and friends with his passing, but take comfort knowing he is no longer in pain. Rest in peace, Jerry. Sincerely, Barb

Hi Jody, I dont remember specific classes we may have had together either. Possibly, English or Sociology. We did have some pretty good athletes in our class and would have done well competing against other schools. Now, I'm enjoying my grandchildren's sports. My granddaughters (both juniors this year) have been playing on vollyball traveling teams for 3-4 years, my oldest grandson (sophomore) plays lacrosse and football, and my little second grade grandson plays baseball, basketball, and now flag football. Hes a little stud! Great hearing from you!

My two beautiful daughters. Youngest, Cheryl on the left. (Olivia and Blake's Mom). Eldest, Carrie on the right. (Emily and Cole's Mom). Yes, Carrie's curls are natural, hence her email handle "purecurls" - obviously from their Italian dad! Cheryl, fortunately or unfortunately depending on how you look at it, got my straight hair.
