Well, I turn 62 in February, 2017, and a lot has transpired in that time. I'll save that for another time.

School Story:

Drama class was my favorite, taught by Larry Linda. He had the most entertaining stories to tell!

I was in several drama productions that year: An Italian Straw Hat, Pullman Car Hiawatha, and You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown -- I played Charlie Brown.

I attended a performance somewhere, and I remember walking around with a classmate who held my arm. I said to her, "I feel curiously respectable." But I can't remember her name for the life of me. I've always wondered about her.

It was a lonely year for me. I transferred to PHS after my junior year at Skyline H.S. in Oakland. Yeah, it was pretty grim.

Hi, David. On the forum today you posted this comment: " I've asked for peace before, but I can see the mongers are still out there."

I've been a member here for years, but have never ventured to post anything before. When I saw Marina being so roundly rejected by people, labeling her a socialist and such. I was curious as to why. So I sought out here "offensive" post.

Did I write anything that was hostile or angry? I'm mainly wondering if you felt I was one of those "mongers still out there."

Take care.

Hi Penny. I've been a member here for a long time, but this is the first time I've posted. When I read the hostile comments to Marina, I was curious as to why she seemed to be rejected as a socialist, etc. I searched for her original post, and then her profile page.

On my response to Marina, I shared my background, and expressed encouragement to Marina (a 71-year-old retired teacher with serious health problems), who was being so roundly criticized in the message forum.

Vince's first reply was not to the content of my post, but something else.

i saw a pic of your wife on your blog. she was butt ugly. now go away and don't come back. reverse racist preacher.

Vincent is obviously a very troubled man, apparently very bitter. When I responded to him, I was as gracious as I knew how. I expressed my appreciation for his service to the country, and wished him a sense of fulfillment and contentment.

He was angered by my response. "all i need to do is read your first post and i know you and your kind well."

Penny, I haven't attacked anyone, called anyone's wife "butt ugly," or told anyone to go away. I am sorry that Vince's bitterness has upset you so much.

Take care.

Ron, another interesting and talented actor went to Skyline...Tom Hanks. Were you taking Drama classes at that time?
