Vincent...I am so sorry to hear how the loss of your bother Richard has affected you all these years. I got to know him a little in high school. I had a second period class in my Junior or Senior year, helping the school nurse. Your brother would come in frequently. He told me he had seizures and how embarrasing it was for him. (Ironically, I began having seizures just after the birth of my second daughter back in 1968. I've often thought of Richard through the years because I was then able to relate to what he went through). I had a good listening ear when he would come into the nurse's office. I used to wish there was something I could do to help him. I was so saddened to hear he passed away shortly after high school. You're right, he was a very nice young man. I know he was depressed and didn't feel like he "fit in". I'm glad you shared from your heart today. I will continue to remember your brother with nice memories of the little chats he and I would have while he would wait to see the school nurse. I'm praying for you Vincent. My heartfelt sympathy.
