Richard GatteyResident of Boulder CreekBeloved father Richard Charles Gattey, 65 of Boulder Creek, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on April 1, 2013. He was born December 1947 in Oakland, California to the late Samuel and Lillian Gattey. Richard had a unique zest for caring for others and all living things. He has touched many hearts and lives with his kindness and generosity. It was often said, "He had kind eyes." He loved fishing, food, and winning local radio station contests with friends. He also had a passion for socializing and keeping in touch with people from his past and present. He made a point to mend any wrong doings.He worked and retired from Caterpillar Tractor before taking up a position with Lockheed Martin Corporation and retiring this year.He is the devoted father of Kimberly Gattey, Traci Morgan, Benjamin Gattey, Jeffrey Gattey, Michelle Gattey, and Matthew Gattey; loving Grandfather of seven grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. In addition to his children, he was a devoted brother to Trudy Heisler and Harry Gattey; everyone's favorite uncle, brother-in-law, father-in-law, cousin, and friend.Per his wishes a cremation date is pending at Pacific Gardens Chapel. Interment will be private.

A Note to the alumni who posted a comment about Richard.  Something went wrong with Richard's Page and I had to delete it and start over.  At that time I lost a comment that was posted.. Again my sincere apology..Sue

Larry Campos (1966)

Rich was a real nice individual. I don't think I ever saw him without a smile on his face. Not only did I have the pleasure of going through school with him. I really enjoyed  working with him at Caterpillar  until it closed its doors.  May he forever rest in peace.  Larry.
