Ron Caballero, Class of 1970, died early this morning at his home in Modesto. He had been in failing health the past few years. I was the Dean of Students at PHS from 75-79 and Ron was my campus supervisor. I left Pacific in June 1979 to become an assistant principal at Turlock HS. Ron came with me and served as my campus supervisor there too. He later became a security officer at Modesto Junior College until his retirement several years ago. Ron was a generous and very kind person who had an uncanny ability to gain both the respect and friendship of the high school students that he supervised and watched over for all those years. He always made sure that students had a safe environment while attending school.

Hi Sue,
I am Linda Howard, Ron's fiancé. Hope you are doing well.
I understand that you are the administrator for the "Pacific High Vikings" website. I'm writing, because, although it's been almost three years since his passing, his family and I are planning a celebration to honor him. As you know, we lost Ron during the COVID lockdown, so were unable to do anything but a small graveside service. Now we can do what we had intended all along. I know he would want his friends from Pacific High School, both from his days as a student and as an employee, to be informed.
I have his ID and password to get onto Ron's account but am not sure of how appropriate that is. Is there another way we can post an announcement on the site?
