This is the message I received from his sister Linda Ferreira :
·
It is with sadness that I share the passing of my brother Ed Ferreira PHS class of 1969. We lived on Birch St. & Ed attended James Madison, John Muir and PHS. He enjoyed track and gymnastics at Muir and chorus and drama at PHS. His favorite play was Lil' Abner. After school Ed worked for Lucky's corporation and was a proud member of retail clerks and Teamsters unions.
He married Linda Yon in 1973 and they celebrated 50 years of marriage last December. Ed and Linda raised 3 wonderful daughters: Holly, Kelly & Kim in Modesto. They have 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Ed loved to golf, play cribbage and Texas Holdem, and watch Indy and Nascar. He collected race car models and his favorite was Jeff Gordon.
He passed peacefully in his sleep the evening of June 17th. It is difficult to have lost both my brothers Joe ( PHS ' 66) and Ed 13 months apart. My brothers were very decent hard working and caring men. At Ed's request there will be no services.

RIP Brother Ed Ferreira, I will miss you deeply!
So grateful I spoke to you on Father's Day, little did we know you would be going home to God the next day!
Correction to the dates in my sisters post. Ed and Linda Married in 1971
1973 was my wedding date, to my high school sweetheart, Ed's good friend Steve!
