What happened to Doreen?
She was sooooo much fun. We laughed a lot together.
Thru this site I have found out that I have lost several friends from school.
It is really sad but a reality that when we graduate and move on in life we loose contact with sooooo many that were a part of our young lives on an everyday basis.
If there is someone that you would like to re-visit and play "catch up" with we had better do it. Life is short.

For those of you who knew Doreen, you would most likely also know me. Doreen was my very dearest friend from the day we met in 5th grade when she came to James A. Garfield elementary until the very day she died a very painful and untimely death from ovarian cancer. It was very unfortunate that she was misdiagnosed for nearly a year, until the cancer had spread to her stomach.

Doreen and I were "hooked at the hip" all through school. We shared many great times together. Boy, do I have a ton of crazy stories to tell. We did so many crazy things. It was never a dull moment when we were together. We were always thinkin' up crazy things to do. Just ask any of our classmates who knew us well. LOL :o)

We were both married the same year in 1973. She moved to Idaho and I would visit her. She divorced several years later and moved to FL where she re-married and lived until her death just 4 months before turning 50.

I can't believe it's been 11 years now. I still talk to her quite often, remembering our crazy times together for so many years. Doreen will always hold a very specail place in my heart, as I hope she will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.

Here's to you my dearest friend. I hope you're smilin' down on us who's been left behind with the many challenges brought with life in our senior years.
