Charles was a friend of my brother John and a friend of mine. We grew up in the same neighborhood and went to Wilson, John Muir, and Pacific together. I last saw Charles standing by the corner mailbox on Castro and Wayne having an evening smoke. In this busy world I am "so glad" I took the time to stop and chat.
