Linda Skinner Class of 1966 passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015. DOB March 31, 1948. Linda was born in Boulder, Colorado to Durand and Suzie Skinner. She moved to San Leandro when she was 4 years old. She attended James Madison Elementary School, John Muir Junior High, Pacific High School and obtained a BA Arts Degree from the University of California Stanislaus. Linda was raised in a performing family and was good at singing harmonies, playing the flute, ukulele,and guitar. She was talented in arts and crafts including knitting, crocheting, greeting card making, scrapbooking, quilting, needlepoint, drawing, and painting. Linda was passionately involved in the Alta Mira Club in San Leandro, a women's club whose purpose is to encourage cultural education, social welfare and to participate in all civic affairs. She was elected Vice President of the club last year and served until her death. A memorial service was held at the club in her honor. Linda died of natural causes. She was 66 years old.
