Rest In Peace my old friend.. John "Puppy" Luckett was my first friend, neighbor and classmate when I moved to San Leandro back in 1958. I'm greatful that I had got to speak with him on the phone last year thanks to our good friend Vince Acosta. My deepest condolences to his family.

When I moved to San Leandro's, Mulford Gardens, in the mid 50's, John "Puppy' lived across the street from me. It was called 132nd Ave. back then. There were no side walks when we first moved there. They changed the name to Marina Blvd when the Marina was being built. We spent many hours by the bay catching little crabs to bring home as pets.

John had wonderfull parents who let him come out and play with us across the street, even though his mom was terrified of my Boa Constrictor "Bobo".

Many years of fun and games and good parties later, I still remember our many adventures...

My heart goes out to his family, May he rest in peace.
