Bruce Reed

I attended the 10 year and 30 year reunions. I am amazed at the number of fellow graduates whom have passed away. After graduation, I worked for Anchor Hocking Glass for 2 years before joining the Air Force in Jan. 1967. I ended up as a Military Policeman and was transferred to the 821st Combat Security Police Squadron in March 1968, and went to Viet Nam in 1968 and again in 1969. I got out of the Air Force in Sept. 1970 to attend college in Missouri, getting married to Skyla and attending Jr. college in Missouri. I moved back to California in 1972 after my Mother passed away and spent four years working for Southern Pacific Railroad, during which we had two children. We moved back to Missouri in 1976 and I graduated from Central Missouri University in 1978 and ended up working at a utility in Kansas City for 28 years before retiring this year. I still have family in California, Oregon and Nevada and try to visit every two years. We have traveled extensively in the US and Canada and have been to Hawaii twice. We live outside of Kansas City in a suburb called Lee's Summit.

I played some sports while at Pacific High and remember catching Benny Ramos, "the wild Hawaiian", once in a practice game. He threw so hard that he hurt my hand and I wouldn't catch him anymore!

I can still remember being able to sneak a smoke out in the ball field grass by lying down in a circle and smoking. No one could see who was smoking so we all got away with it....that year anyway.
