Nancy and I went all the way through school together starting at Garfield, and our dad's carpooled to Naval Air Station Alameda together for many years. Nancy and I were part of the first Polio vaccine test group, and we were the ones that got the actual vaccine, not the placebo, a fact that she never neglected to remind me of whenever I ran into her at a street fair or something similar. Haven't seen her for a few years, and have wondered how she was. Sorry to hear about her passing.
