While I was "copping" out in a nearby town, I went in early one afternoon to grab some lunch. Sitting in the restaurant across from me was this balding, bearded fellow wearing gradient lens sunglasses staring at me. I was getting a little nervous when he gets up, walks up to me and asks if he could have a seat. I agreed, whereupon he introduces himself--"Remember me, I'm Larry Gardelle?" We chatted and ate for nearly an hour. I don't recall exchanging phone numbers, and I thought I'd see him again, but no. Thirty-four years ago, that was. I still remember that day, Larry. God keep you, friend.
Early 70's......Me on my '54 K Model, Danny Sanchez on his '66 XLCH, Ray Sanchez on '67 XLH, Mark Hooper on a Sportster, Mike Morrison on a Panhead and Larry on his Knucklehead. Larry got everything he could out of life and encouraged us all to do the same. It was a pleasure, Larry.
