One of the nicest guys I have ever met. We had a lot of fun in the mid-60's just hanging out, nothing serious, just fun and laughs. His smile was cute and sincere, even when we teased him about his car looking like a washing machine. I hope he had a good life.

Bob, dear Bob! Gentle, sweet, funny! I'm sure he is missed by all. What amazing times we shared!

Bob and I worked together at Mack Truck in Hayward and drank together at Paganos in the early 80s. He lived in a cozy apartment next to the now-gone corn field owned by Dean Hansen's family. We closed down Paganos on numerous nights after work and found our way back to Bob's with yet another six pack. Just one of those guys you were always glad to see. When I mentioned that I was a Marxist he was really taken with the idea that there were other ways of looking at the world. Lots of conversations about history, people, economics, politics. Bob thrived on discussions so much deeper than the run-of-the-mill barroom banter that passes for discourse these days. What a treat it was to rekindle a friendship two decades after high school. He is remembered fondly.
