Donald Phelps

Don A. Phelps, Jr. July 25, 1945-July 1, 2009 Our loving Don went to join the angels at age 63 after a courageous battle with cancer. We will be ever grateful to the skillful, loving staff from San Jose Kaiser Hospice. Born in Massachusetts to Don Sr. and Irene Phelps, "Donny" was always athletic excelling at baseball, basketball, and football. He is survived by his loving wife Pam of 32 years. He was Father and Papa to Traci, Teri, Scott and Brian. He also leaves behind his brother Bill and his wife Helen, his sister Darlene Montano and his nieces Louise Harmon and Jeanette Gross. He was grandfather to Shandy, Sierra and Nathanial, and great-grandfather to Nickolas Donald Lane. Don was proud to be a hard working teamster delivering new cars for Pacific Motor Trucking Co. for a full forty years logging millions of miles. A memorial service will be Sunday, July 19 at 2:00 pm in Oak Hill Funeral Home's Chapel of Roses, 300 Curtner Ave., San Jose, CA 95125. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Kaiser San Jose Hospice Group, 50 Great Oaks Blvd., San Jose, CA 95119.

Joseph Bustos (1962)

i remember don coming over my house all the time to go play ball of some sort. i remember his big bike, always clean and had lots of chrome.i remember his 64 1/2 ford and the kept immaculate, we used to kid him that he got more wear on the side of his tires than on the bottoms of them. he used to wash and wax his car every day. he like the 3 stooges and acted liked them to garner laughs

Don , I never met you, even though I lived but four houses up the street on Tudor road. I remember your bad-ass 64 ford. Sir, may you forever rest in peace. Larry .
