kishi was one my best friends in high school and after for a few years.  i renenber a road trip to yosemiti with kishi and otis mcqueen, we took  a mule ride up to the falls and it was a hot and dusty ride up.  when we got their i decided to take my shoes off and step into the river to cool off, not knowing it was like glass on the bottom of river and i just slipped right in and headed for the falls, kishi stuck out his hand and saved me, i still owe him one.  he use to borrow my car to go on dates as he has this big and loud plymouth race car which the girls diddnt like. iremember going over his house on new years day and having warm sake and had my first taste of sushi with octopus.  i learned a different culture somewhat and gained a friend.  i was fortunate to see him at an old farts reunion about a year ago and am thankful to have seen him after fifty years.  thanks for the good times and memories

My recollection of Hiroshi goes back to 1957. We were friends in John Muir Junior High and off campus. We were on the track team at John Muir, San Leandro High and Pacific High. He and I had lunch with Rich Rodriguez several times on the peninsala over the last several years and he joined the Old Farts Luncheon about two years ago. He was a happy man and at peace with life. He was proud of his family and his accomplishments in life. He was a very good man and will be missed. Rest in peace Hiroshi.
