to my friend when we were younger i will remember you, your mon and dad and sister always so welcoming, i'll remember our time in the army, driving back from fort ordm going to north beach paying 16bucks a drink, thanks for being a friend to me
I just heard the news of Louie's death from Joe Bustos.
I used to live just down the street from the Mediterranean Restaurant, and stopped there several nights a week.
Louie NEVER said a bad word about anyone (at least in MY presence) and could always bring a smile to each person's face, no matter WHAT kind of day they'd had. I think he knew every song from the 60's, who wrote it, who recorded it, and what year it published !
Sometimes we'd watch old VHS tapes of movies, and the place felt like a second home to us all.
LOUIE WAS A GREAT HUMAN BEING.
When I think of him it will always be with a smile on my face and a THANK YOU in my heart.

RIP to Louie. I will always remember you. I remember your restaurant and the many meals we had there.
