Ronald Alan Wilson: September 25, 1949-April 4, 2011
Ron passed away yesterday, April 4 at approximately 3:00 pm in Stanford Hospital, due to complications related to his bone marrow transplant procedure; entered into with the expectation of curing his cancer. Since early on in the procedure, he had spent an inordinate amount of time hospitalized for problems related to immune system response; including time in ICU in mid-March. Myself, his oldest daughter Ginger, and his partner Tamara were present at his bedside and he had a peaceful transition to the promised land. His daughters are going to hold a "Celebration of Life" in his honor sometime in the future, and I will try to let all of you know about it once a date has been set.

Ron and I were good friends in high school, sorry to hear of his passing and my condolences to his family.
