A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, May 10, for Daniel “Dan” Pereira, 49, who died Monday, May 2, in Tracy.

A Modesto native, Mr. Pereira lived in San Leandro before settling in Tracy 25 years ago. He was born June 7, 1961.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Mary Pereira of Tracy; children, Michael J. Pereira and Amanda N. Pereira, both of Tracy; mother, Harriet Pereira of Tracy; and siblings, Maryann Reis and Michael Pereira, both of Tracy, and George Pereira of Newark.

Preceding him in death were his father, Manuel Pereira; and a brother, Edward Pereira.

Tuesday’s Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 163 W. Eaton Ave., followed by burial in Tracy Cemetery, 600 E. Schulte Road. A vigil will begin at 7 p.m. Monday, May 9, at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave
