I grew up with Mike in the Marina Faire area...always a nice guy, always laughing...had another one of those Twilight Zone things...someone was talking about camping and tents and all that recently and I all of a sudden had a flashback to a day when I was riding my bike around the neighborhood and came across Mike and some other kids putting up a tent in his front yard..it was an old army tent, olive green and made out of canvas..they looked like they were having too good of a time and there was Mike in the middle of it all, sweatin' and smilin' and laughin'...and good natured guy that he was, he invited me to help out and check out the whole thing...some other kids I remember from back then would have told me to bug off..I remember that when the whole process was done, it was too hot to stay in the tent for more than a minute or two but that didn't matter to Mike, the task was done and he was obviously proud of that. Sorry to just now read of his passing.

Mike was a good friend and it saddens me to see that he is gone. We had lost touch, as many of us do, but he will always be remembered
