Gerald Anderson - Class Of 1968

Gerald (Jerry) Wayne Anderson, child of God, musician and successful businessman, was born September 9, 1950, in Fresno, California. He went home to be with the Lord April 30, 2005. He is survived by his sons, Michael, Shawn and Joel; grandchildren, Kyleigh and Seth; sisters, Dianne, Sherrie and Joanie; brothers, Andy and Jon; as well as many nieces, nephews, dear relatives and friends. He will be greatly missed by everyone. Serving as a Marine in Vietnam, Jerry was wounded in battle and received the Purple Heart. His love for God and people was harmoniously lived out through his passion and gift of music that he used to spread God's word. As a drummer and singer in the Christian rock band "Gideon's Army," he proclaimed the good news of the Lord with music. Through a prison ministry, "Follow-up supply Line," he was able to share the love of God to inmates. Wading through the trials in his life, never did Jerry forget the truth found in God's grace and love for him and others. A memorial service celebrating Jerry's life will be held May 6, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church, 557 Olivina Ave., Livermore,Calif.
