Kathleen Forbes (Deremiah) (1967)
I still have a diary from 7th grade at Madison elementary school. Many pages are devoted to my adoration of Brian Williamson. When he transferred to Madison, all of the girls fell in love with him. As a result, most of the boys didn't care for him. Brian was a "bad boy," which made the attraction even stronger. I remember his hair falling over his forehead and the way he walked. It wasn't necessary for him to speak. The coolness just oozed out of him. He was totally "boss."Brian used to have lists of which girls he "liked," in order of preference. I think I was #1 for a half of a day, certainly not long enough to get to know him at the MOPs. (Remember those?) Brian reserved most of his affection for the beautiful girls, and I wasn't in that group. I remember pining away for Brian until I fell for Hilary Mendonca at a 7th grade dance. Then he was history.
