Lyle lived in Oakland after he left the Navy. He was a wonderful brother and loving Uncle to his two neices. He owed his own house painting company. In the late 70's we, Lyle, myself, and my husband, bought 400 pairs of roller skates and rented them out in Golden Gate park for 4 years. He loved people and even with his large size, roller skated, surfed and skateboarded. He was always fun to be with. He would catch fish when no one else for miles had even a bite. He remained best friends with Ray Hooven and Rays four kids loved him.
When his health turned, he moved to Coleville, Ca which was about 20 minutes from our parents house in Topaz Nevada. He lived there a year when he died. There was no cause of death really. He was very large at that point and just passed away.
