All Blessings to all family and friends of Lonnie. Lonnie brought great energy to the halls of Pacific High with his enthusiasm, humor, intelligence and care of fellow students. I have gratitude for memories we all shared with Lonnie. 🕯🙏🏽🌹
Damn I am so sorry to hear this. I attempted to contact Lonnie many times over the last couple of years. Rich Savino and I had spoken about how reluctant Lonnie was to interact with anyone. I did get to see him one time at his parent's house in San Leandro before he moved in with his daughter in Black Hawk. He refused to speak to me even at that time though we were face to face.
You always think you will have plenty of time so you let things go. If I had known he was living in Rio Vista right down the road from me in Dixon, I would have gotten to him sooner and while his wife was still alive. Lonnie was probably a different person at that time.
My condolences to his family and to all of you fellow Vikings who loved him and his personality. I will continue to remember him sitting behind me in Mr. Mudgett's advanced algebra class. Wish I could have been more help to him than just in math ...
