Brian Hawkins (1967)

It is with great sadness to make notice that my wonderful sister Celeste Hawkins Williams went to be with Jesus  on February 24th.  She leaves behind three children and three grandchildren .  She suffered for a short time with cancer.  I will miss her.  Brian Hawkins

Hey Brian, this is Tommy McCarthy, nephew of Richard Hammett, Celeste's first husband. I am soo sorry to hear of Celeste passing! Although I didn't get to spend or have a lot of great memories of her but I do remember how petite and pretty she was and how much my uncle Richard loved her! Where are you living now Brian and do you still duck hunt? I retired from DOD after 36 years, two of those US Army and live in Texas and still go up to Idaho every year for a month or two to Duck and Pheasant hunt with my buddy Phil. He's a good friend of Richard's oldest brother Skip. Would love to hear back from you Brian, and again I am so sorry about your loss.

Steve, You talked  about a train trip you took in Alaska a few years ago that was so great.   Was it 8 hours in Scagway?   I looked on our itinary and there is only 1 train trip and I thought you said 8 hrs.  This one was Discovery recommended.

I appreciate your telling me, and our first stop is the only one that has whale watching, we'd like to do.

How about Prince Rupert Island?

I like good stuff not corny "Alaska" stuff

Thanks,

Peggy

First it was so nice to see you last week!

The train trip is definitely worth the 8 hours.  It went from I thought it was Anchorage to Denali but either way absolutely breathtaking ride.  Alaska is truly the last frontier and traveling through it by train was fantastic. We wound up staying in Denali for 3days and explored the Park, again one of the most memorable experiences we have had in all our travels through out the world!  Just breathtaking !!!  ENJOY!

IN MEMORY PAGES

Hi Alumni .. I've noticed that a lot of you comment on a Alumni passing on our Message Forum which is great but could you also comment on their In Memory Page.

WHY:  Right now we have 75 Forum Pages!!  Imagine trying to look up an Alumni who has passed reading through 75 pages when it would be so much easier to find them on their own page under In Memory.  Please take some time to look up deceased classmates and leave a note maybe a memory of the good times you had together at PHS.I believe their family and good friends would enjoy reading what you wrote.

Thank You

THOSE OF YOU WHO WENT TO GROVER CLEVLAND ELEMENTRARY IN THE LATE 50'S THEN ONTO JOHN MUIR JR. HIGH (1958-1960 ) AND THEN ONTO PACIFIC HIGH SCHOOL AS ONE OF IT'S FIRST 2 CLASSES IN 1960 PROBABLY KNEW HAROLD KALAMA. HAOLD PASSED PEACEFULLY IN HIS SLEEP IN MID APRIL 2024. WE SHARED A 67 YEAR CONSTANT AND ACTIVE FRIENDSHIP TOGETHER. WE HUNTED, FISHED, FLEW, SAILED, WORKED TOGETHER IN THE ELECTRICAL TRADE FOR 35 YEARS, AND EVEN WENT ON GREAT FAMILY VACATIONS TOGETHER THROUGH OUT EUROPE, SPAIN, GREECE, ITAY, AND THE HAWAIIAN ISLANDS TOGETHER. AFTER ALL THE TIME WE SPENT AROUND EACH OTHER, I THINK IT'S SAFE TO SAY THAT HE WAS MORE FAMILY THAN FRIEND. WE WILL BE MISSED BY THOSE WHO KNEW HIM. R.I.P. IN PEACE BROTHER. ALOHA UNTIL OUR PATHS CROSS ONCE AGAIN.
